Growing together.<br><br></strong>Accountabilities include sourcing and screening candidates, acting as a consultant to Hiring Managers throughout the hiring process, and providing detailed assessments for candidates and recommending offer amounts using offer tools and processes. The position manages the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing and administrative components involved in making a hire. This role is accountable for managing interactions with candidates in accordance with employment law and in a manner that fosters transparency, simplicity and respect.<br><br>You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.<br><br>For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.<br><br><strong>Primary Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Lead full cycle recruiting for AI, ML, Data Science, and advanced engineering roles across Optum Tech, Optum Insight, and Optum Financial, supporting both product driven and applied AI use cases </li><li>Partner closely with technology, data, and business leaders to translate AI roadmaps and business priorities into clear hiring strategies, aligned to Optum AI personas (User, Builder, Scientist)</li><li>Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for AI talent, including niche platforms, technical communities, open source portfolios (GitHub, Kaggle), and AI focused events to build high quality pipelines </li><li>Collaborate with Talent Marketing and Sourcing to deploy programmatic job advertising and AI driven attraction strategies that scale reach while maintaining candidate quality across OI and OF demand</li><li>Screen and assess candidates for technical depth, real world AI application, and responsible AI practices, partnering with hiring teams to ensure strong role and team alignment</li><li>Guide candidates through a structured, high touch interview experience, including technical assessments, virtual hiring events, and multi panel interview processes common to AI roles </li><li>Leverage recruiting data and insights to monitor funnel health, time to fill, and candidate experience, proactively adjusting strategies to meet high volume and specialized AI hiring needs </li><li>Support enterprise wide AI hiring initiatives, including virtual career events, referral programs, and targeted campaigns, to build sustained pipelines for critical AI capabilities </li><li>Ensure all recruiting practices align with Optum standards for data privacy, compliance, and ethical AI use, reinforcing trust with candidates and stakeholders <br><br></li></ul>You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.<br><br><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>5+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience in a large, matrixed corporate environment</li><li>5+ years of sourcing experience</li><li>3+ years tech recruiting experience</li><li>6+ months of recruiting for AI/ML Engineering profiles</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in marketing/sourcing techniques to include: lead generation, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.</li><li>Demonstrated to be highly organized and excellent communication skills <br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>PHR, SPHR, CPC certifications</li><li>ATS Taleo experience</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of compensation programs/benefits </li><li>All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy<br><br></li></ul>Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
