We are looking for a talented Team Lead to join the Alternatives & EasyApache Team on the CloudLinux OS Web Stack project within ELS. This role involves working with a range of products, including alternative versions of NodeJS, PHP, Python, and Ruby, as well as cPanel EasyApache and HardenedPHP packages.

The alternative packages enable the installation of multiple versions of the same software on a single system and are utilized across various CloudLinux OS and Imunify360 components. While EasyApache packages are originally part of the cPanel product, our team enhances them to ensure greater security and seamless compatibility with CloudLinux OS.

HardenedPHP focuses on backporting security patches to PHP versions that are no longer supported by the PHP community.

As our Team Lead, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle of package development, including:

  • Communication with stakeholders (resolving clients' issues through the support team, other departments/teams, etc.)
  • Driving the automation of routine tasks such as version updates, patch management, monitoring, and testing to streamline the packaging workflow
  • Designing and maintaining automated test suites
  • Being a part of the release management processes
  • Building working processes and workflows in the team
  • Being responsible for Agile (Scrum) delivery and Jira workflow management

Requirements

To thrive in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Team management experience - 3+ years
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and applying automation
  • 3+ years of experience working with GNU/Linux operating systems and shell scripting experience
  • Experience with Python - at least 1 year
  • Experience working with AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile practices
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • English - upper-intermediate+

It will be a plus if you also have:

  • Understanding of RPM or DEB package build systems (e.g., mock, pbuilder, etc.)
  • Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or similar
  • Experience with С programming
